After gaining an academic music degree at Manchester University he later went to study with Bruce Dickey in Basel’s Schola Cantorum (thanks in part to generous assistance from the Leverhulme Trust) and now spends his time travelling the world playing with some of the leading interpreters of Baroque and Renaissance music. The last year included performances with ensembles such as Concerto Palatino, His Majesty’s Sagbutts and Cornetts, Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, The Gabrieli Consort and Players, Cantus Kölln and Les Talens Lyriques.
