Formed by cornetto player Gawain Glenton and harpist Kirsty Whatley, In Echo places these two rare and expressive instruments centre stage.
The
triple harp and the cornetto thrived during the tumultuous shift from
the Renasissance to the Baroque, bequeathing them a sophisticated
repertoire that combines artful counterpoint with emotive dissonance,
immaculate polyphony with soloistic virtuosity, and the semi-improvised
practices of ornamentation, diminution and continuo accompaniment.
